Krista is a Certified Paralegal and the firm’s Practice Manager. With over 25 years of experience in the legal field, she possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree from Graceland University and a Paralegal Certificate from Kansas City Business College. In addition to overseeing the operations of the firm, Krista focuses on several of the civil and criminal defense cases the firm handles, in which she interviews clients, researches the quickly changing statutes and case law, drafts pleadings and assists with all aspects of discovery and trial preparation and post-judgment collection.Krista’s extensive experience in dealing with the Department of Revenue allows her to provide invaluable assistance in dealing with driving privilege reinstatement.
Katie Weis is one of the legal assistants for the criminal division of the firm. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology from the University of Missouri -- Kansas City. She previously worked as a probation officer in the Kansas City area. She maintains the firm’s criminal cases. She works closely with clients to ensure they are prepared for Court. Her work includes traffic offenses to misdemeanors and high profile felonies. Katie also assists in handling incoming calls and maintaining client relations.
Teresa Conley is one of the legal assistants for the personal injury and family law divisions of the firm. She also assists with the collection on judgments awarded after a trial. She worked in client services at Waddell and Reed and the firm uses her experience in finance to assist in collection work. She also was previously a medical records director for a hospital and has experience in patient accounts where she processed medical billing and dealing with insurance companies. She is usually the first voice you hear when you call the firm.
